We are all citizens of a fallen world, separated from our true home in the presence of God. Yet, through Jesus Christ, we have the opportunity to become citizens of heaven. By believing in His sacrifice on the cross and receiving saving faith, we are born again into a new life, and are both justified and made righteous through faith alone. Jesus calls believers to set our minds on things above, to prioritize the eternal over the temporal, and to embrace our heavenly identity: our true home awaits us in the very presence of our God. Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus provides the way for us to be reconciled to God. He invites us to acknowledge our need for a savior, turn away from our sins, and follow Him. Jesus then instructs us to be salt and light in a world desperately in need of His transformative love. As we live out our faith, our lives become a testimony, drawing others to inquire about the hope that resides within us.
